Fun to build and works great. I built this kit as a working obstacle-avoidance robot car. Provided my own wires, standoffs, and some additional hardware. Also had to drill some additional mounting holes. I switched to using five AA batteries to get better voltage regulation.

Thatwould require artificial intelligence. When it detects an obstacle, the ultasonic sensor looks left and right to calculate the distance to obstacles on either side and steer the car in the direction with the greatest distance to the nearest obstacle. It comes up with a single solution to a single problem, and does not look beyond one solution at a time.

How do I supply power to arduino board when it is not connected to USB? The battery box supplies only 6 volts, which is too low for Vin (7-12 volts)? Why is no battery connector provided?
