The answer to this is YES, you can test the consistency of an esc or motor as long as you remember to stick to the following rules.....so you cant mix and matched motors with one type of esc, must be brushed esc with brushed motor, otherwise the servo tester will work fine in both scenario's as long as you stick with like for like esc-motor combinations Electronic speed controllers designed specifically for brushed motors will only work with brushed motors. Likewise, electronic speed controllers designed specifically for brushless motors will only work for brushless motors.
